Just because you are part of Generation Y does not mean that you don’t deserve a lawyer that knows you and understands you. Lawyers your parents may have used, probably won’t be your first choice as your lawyer.
I can help you. I serve Gen Y clients. I am Gen Y. I understand that Gen Y wants more and expects more. If you live in Minnesota and need estate planning for the future of your family or small business planning for the future of your business. We want a lawyer who will not nickel and dime us. We want a lawyer who understands that we just want our families and businesses protected and not have to explain ourselves to our parents or parent’s lawyers.
I always knew that I was going to be a lawyer and I was going to help people. My legal career ambitions have changed just as I have changed; but I have always wanted to help people. I chose estate planning and small business planning because I know I can help people with important matters of their life. I have never wanted to do litigation work and enjoyed the research and writing aspect of being a lawyer.
I graduated from Hamline University in St. Paul, MN, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2006. I received my B.A. in legal studies and criminal justice with a paralegal certificate. I interned with the Minnesota Department of Corrections Office of Special Investigations and the Dispute Resolution Center. I worked for a year with the Department of Corrections in the Restorative Justice unit. I then continued my education journey in Michigan at Thomas M. Cooley Law School. I graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2010 with a concentration in constitutional law and civil rights. I did my externship with Judge Tunheim in Federal District Court in Minnesota. I worked in Judge Tunheim’s chambers as a judicial law clerk extern with the full-time law clerks. I focused on drafting opinions and legal research.
